# Celona at Transform 2026: The Last Mile of Edge AI

Celona’s Puneet Shetty's presentation delves into why edge AI can only succeed when every robot, sensor, and machine has a wireless connection it can trust.

At ZEDEDA’s TRANSFORM 2026 conference, Celona’s Puneet Shetty explored “The ‘Last Mile’ of Edge AI,” making the case that as AI shifts from generating insights to taking action, connectivity becomes an operational dependency rather than an afterthought.

Running inference on-site reduces reliance on the cloud, but robots, sensors, and machines still need a dependable local connection, and unlike people, an AGV that loses signal may simply stop. Puneet outlines four requirements for industrial wireless (coverage, mobility, reliability, and security) and shows how Celona Orion meets them by combining private 5G, Wi-Fi, public cellular, and satellite in one converged platform.

The message is simple: edge intelligence is only as good as the connectivity behind it.
