For thirty years, enterprise wireless was built for people, not machines.

Physical and agentic AI change the rules: robots, vehicles, vision systems, and software agents can't absorb the jitter and loss that best-effort wireless was designed to tolerate. MicroSlicing makes wireless deterministic at the level that matters - the individual application flow - with a scheduler that holds every flow to a defined uplink and downlink service level. And with Orion, that per-application guarantee spans the converged fabric, private 5G and Wi-Fi alike.

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

   

/ Architecture

 

 

 

 

A MicroSlice is a logical, end-to-end path with a defined service level: the priority, latency bound, and loss tolerance for a given workload. Orion enforces that service level in the radio scheduler itself - on private 5G or Wi-Fi, whichever serves the workload - rather than through best-effort QoS markings.

#### On private 5G

Maps each service level to 3GPP QoS classes - QCI (LTE) / 5QI (5G NR).

Selects the bearer per workload: GBR, Non-GBR, or Delay-Critical GBR.

Enforced in real time by the agentic operations plane.

#### On Wi-Fi

Maps slice intent to the matching WMM access category — Voice, Video, Best Effort, or Background.

Workloads keep their class of service as they move between radios.

Orchestrator AI, the agentic operations plane, runs this in real time - continuously monitoring flows across the fabric and adjusting as conditions change, so higher-priority workloads hold their guarantee under load. Because slices are logically isolated, MicroSlicing is also a security boundary: IT and OT traffic can be segmented and steered to the right segment.

Into the enterprise network, MicroSlice policy maps to standard DSCP tags, so slices line up with the VLANs and QoS you already run. The guarantee that starts at the radio is honored all the way through the LAN.
