## Machine vision, everywhere

Machine vision runs on a mix of cameras - fixed, PTZ, 360°, thermal, LPR - plus AI cameras and the cameras and LiDAR riding AMRs, yard vehicles, and inspection robots. They sit exactly where connectivity is hardest: cable can’t reach the perimeter or follow a moving robot, and best-effort Wi-Fi drops frames right when a model needs a live feed.

- Industrial sites mix dense indoor areas, sprawling outdoor perimeters, and remote corners cable can’t reach.
- Trenching fiber ($15-35/ft) or forcing everything onto one wireless technology is expensive and still leaves gaps - copper PoE quits around 100 m.
