AP 20 Demo - One Access Point for Private LTE and Private 5G Networks
Celona’s AP20 now runs 4G and 5G at the same time, so enterprises can move to private 5G without leaving legacy devices behind.
Vanlin Sathya and Puneet Shetty introduce the latest capabilities of the Celona AP20, a flagship access point with dedicated 4G and 5G radios that can now run both concurrently. Enterprises can keep supporting legacy LTE devices while rolling out private 5G on the same infrastructure, with no rip and replace. At Stanford Healthcare, the AP20 simultaneously boosts public carrier signals through neutral host and runs private 5G for clinical communications like VoLTE and SMS for nursing staff, all while plugging straight into existing LAN switches to make cellular as manageable as Wi-Fi.
To scale, Celona also unveiled an automated provisioning tool that pulls in carrier and SAS data to commission new sites in under an hour, handling radio tuning and E911 validation. That means hundreds of retail or healthcare locations can go live within four weeks, instead of the months typical of traditional DAS.
