- Stanford transitioned from legacy DAS systems to Celona’s CBRS-based private cellular network and neutral host solution to improve coverage, reduce costs, and gain better control.
- Stanford Health Care deployed a cellular neutral host network using Celona's CBRS solution across 7 buildings to provide both public cellular coverage and private 5G capabilities for critical healthcare applications.
- The Celona system offered a faster, cheaper alternative to DAS -requiring less physical infrastructure, space, and time, with certain non-clinical buildings going live in just 3 months.
- 24+ potential applications were identified, including secure clinical messaging, video on iPads, mobile printing, real-time location tracking, and solar-powered Band 48 security cameras.
- The system improved ROI by reducing cabling, power usage, switch port requirements, and offering flexible deployment models suited for new and existing buildings.
