When a refinery or petrochemical facility spans the equivalent of 3,000 football fields, it reflects the scale and complexity of today’s refineries and plants, environments where connectivity must support a wide range of operational needs, from worker communication and safety systems to mobile workflows and field diagnostics, often under demanding time and performance conditions.

Connectivity infrastructure in these settings can’t follow traditional enterprise models. Wi-Fi is often limited to specific areas and costly to scale. Public cellular may not reach remote zones or integrate well with enterprise systems. Wi-Fi and public cellular have their place, but for these environments, they’re not always enough.
